Thanks to Kath & Margie for organising the end of season Club Game. ‘Thumbs’ were victorious, beating ‘Fingers’ by 154 to 139.

Our customary Fish Supper was delicious as always.

The weather forecast was bleak but 32 people turned up to bowl. There was some rain, but everyone persevered.

The final of the Eldridge Cup took place at B & P on Thursday 28 August.

There was impressive bowling and some very tight games, but in the end Penyffordd beat Broughton by 25 points. 

There was a great turnout, not just from the competing teams, but also from B&P.

Thursday 28 August at 6.15pm.

Penyffordd take on Broughton - two Division A teams. Come along to see some fabulous bowling.

Congrats to the Chester League team who made it to the semi-finals of the Eldridge Cup.

They were beaten by a seriously good Division A team on Thursday night, but they did us proud.

There was an amazing turnout from the Club. Thanks to all who came to support our players.

We had a lovely few days in Arnside. The weather was great and we packed in bowling, walks, and trips to surrounding towns.

Many thanks to Arnside Bowling Club who welcomed us to their green for a social bowl on Thursday and a Friendly on Friday. Making plans for them to visit us next year.

A great turnout considering so many of us were otherwise engaged at the BCGBA Centenary Pairs competition. The winners, with a super score of 41, were the combined team of Steven, John & Brian. Thanks to Pat H for hosting.

Eight pairs from B&P entered the BCGBA Centenary Pairs competition held at Winnington Park Recreation Club in Northwich last Sunday. A great turnout from the Club as there were only 22 pairs in total.

The green was very tricky but we saw really good bowling from everyone.

Twenty-three hardy players turned up. Rain held off for most of the afternoon but showers eventually brought an early end to the fun. The winners were Pat H and Alan B, second were Geoff B & Bob C and third place went to Ian S & Kath. Thanks to Pat K for hosting.

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard for our coffee morning. All those who baked (the cakes were delicious), served, washed up, ran the raffle, plus setting up and clearing up afterwards. And many thanks to all who attended. We raised £561 for St John's Hospice!

A very hot afternoon so we played two rounds of 9-ends. Between the rounds, we repaired to the Clubhouse for delicious cake, celebrating two birthdays – Margaret and Wendy.

The 2025 Ellesmere Port & District Ladies Bowling League Novice Cup was held at Burton & Puddington on Thursday 19 June.

Lots of laughs and great camaraderie.

The winner was Angela Atkinson and the runner-up was Wendy Bragg.
