Hello from Greg and Kristianne! We started reading through David Bowie’s list of 100 books in 2016, and now we’re on to books that he might’ve (or should’ve) read! We put out a podcast of wild literary speculation every month at bowiebookclub.com - come join us! #booktok #davidbowie #books
Heya! This time we read Medium is the Massage by Marchall McLuhan, a stew of images, aphorisms and (maybe unfounded?) optimism that will loosen up those tired media muscles. Join us in our not-so-global village as we discuss! #bowie #books #booksky

This month we read Diary of a Drug Fiend by Aleister Crowley, which (much to our surprise) is not Chronicles of Narnia fan-fic despite the appearance of a Big Lion who solves everything at the end. Also features drugs that are fiended after throughout, heartily! #bowie #booksky

there's a Carlos Alomar line about Bowie in this era, that "he is what he reads, & at the time he was reading so much bullshit": this book is almost certainly one of the ones A. was talking about---you can imagine DB rambling about it for hours while making "Station to Station"
This month we read (or maybe just encountered on the Astral Plane?) The Spear of Destiny, Trevor Ravenscroft’s minimally factual tale of the occult and its hallucinatory hold on Adolf Hilter. Please, please read along, so at least we're all having the same weird dream! #booksky #bowie

This may give you an indication of our feelings about this month's (very very weirdo) book - The Spear of Destiny by Trevvy Ravenscroft. Tune in next week for (maybe) some insight on why we do this to ourselves! #bowie #booksky #badchoices

we definitely didn’t have to work as hard, but wow this was one that was worth it!
so, a girlfriend and I rented the complete VHS of Berlin Alexanderplatz but neither of our families had a VCR yet. the library where my mom worked did. so we drove there every day for a week and watched Berlin Alexanderplatz on a library AV dept VCR + TV, on a stand like this, in the conference room
Name something you remember watching in this!
