Ich hatte dieses Jahr zum Geburtstag einen Book Nook zum Basteln geschenkt bekommen. Der steht jetzt seit ca. 2 Monaten in meinem Regal und ich freue mich immer noch jeden Abend, wenn ich darin das Licht anmache, wie schön er ist 😍😍😍 #buchsky #buchliebe

Good morning #Bookvember A little background on yesterday and today's prompts, if you are interested. The idea of books as windows and mirrors was originally coined Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop and describes how literature helps children see themselves and others through books.

I love Rebecca Gablés books for the glimpses into life in medieval England they offer. And I remember Elizabeth Acevedo's "With the Fire on High" for having a main character with a life very unlike my own and still gripping me, making me laugh and cry 😍

I prefer chronological reads. I rarely get to read a book in just one setting and am often disturbed while reading, so I sometimes lose track when it's non-linear 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'd recommend "This Book Is Gay" by the trans author Juno Dawson, because I like that she put other voices next to her own to write about queerness. I also really enjoyed her book "Queen B" and the way chosen sisterhood plays a role in it 😊 #bookvember #buchsky #buchliebe
