I can't stress enough that you should take every opportunity that comes your way to support your local public libraries. Many of them are currently struggling and are being DEFUNDED. Local action matters on this front. Don't sit back until those libraries are gone before taking ACTION.

JUST IN: A federal judge says one of the Venezuelan men — illegally deported to El Salvador in March before he was swapped back to Venezuela in a prisoner exchange — is now missing, possibly a victim of the violence he was seeking asylum from. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I've been working on book orders for winter/spring at my shop, and some of the romantasy covers are SO UGLY. I would never pick that up.

Got a cool new shirt from a local coffee shop, and I was going to get a coffee while wearing it at the same shop, but that felt very cringy, so I decided to go to the other shop where I just felt like a traitor for wearing a competing coffee shop's shirt 😂

So many shitty businesses/celebrities/authors have been revealed over the past few years that it's hard to keep track of who did what or whether I'm mad at them for an actual reason or just bad vibes.

Recently at my bookshop we were charged $300 because someone threw a trash bag in our recycling dumpster, which was caught on camera. Did you know garbage pick up were doing this? policing your trash? That's wild. I'm sure the increase in prices doesn't have anything to do with surveiling trash 🫠

People using that man as an example of a "good Christian" is exactly why so many people have left the church in the last decade. They know Jesus would be big mad to be represented that way.
