Wonderful seeing graphic novelist and educator Nick Sousanis back in his town —his book Unflattening is an absolute mind-bending gem!
Stopped in for a quick visit to my favorite bookstore back home - the fabulous @bookbeat.bsky.social - pleased to see copies of Unflattening hanging out on their shelves (which are now signed)! If you’re in the Detroit area - go visit, such a treasure trove - makes me want to read all the books!

“This is precisely the time when artists go to work. There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal.”
