Former NJ Senior Deputy Attorney General. I applaud people who mistakenly voted for Trump in 2016 but had the good sense and decency to go the other way in subsequent elections.
I wonder whether the thousands of posts every day blasting Trump and his GOP flunkeys are having a real world effect.

Meaningful change will happen, I suspect, only when enough Trump supporters feel in their heart and gut the grave harm he is inflicting on them, their loved ones, and the country.

The term “political violence” is meaningless. No one can know for sure what really motivates acts of violence, be it mental illness, hatred of mankind, or something else.

The proper description for this is, simply, violence. And it’s wrong no matter which political party the offender sides with.

The Trump White House posted this Theodore Roosevelt quote on the applause due the risk taker over the critic.

This is generally true, but when the doer consistently acts without decency or morality the role of the critic assumes much greater importance.

SCOTUS’s universal injunction decision isn’t the death of democracy that some are calling it.

There are alternative procedures like class actions and APA suits. And, as Justice Kavanaugh noted, district courts rarely have the last word in major injunction cases anyhow. That job belongs to SCOTUS.
📌Thanks to a loaded, radical-Right Supreme Court that believes in monarchies, not democracy, a convicted felon, who regards the truth as his mortal enemy, now has the power he needs to wage war on the citizens of this country he pillages for his gain.
It is an existential threat to the rule of law.
