Oui's planet from his lore. It's an earthlike planet covered in ring-like megastructures that define artificial boundaries for strange continents. On the poles of the planet lie two eternal hurricanes. The coasts of the continents are distorted and pink for an inexplicable reason. There is a massive dust ring around the planet which forks off to revolve around a mechanical moon. There are strange continents on the top half which appear to be gold-plated. The background is nebulous and covered in stars. A four character alien word marks the unknown name of this planet.

the hand position where your index and middle finger are curled inward, while your remaining fingers and thumb are pointed outwards in an L shape is called the attention marker in il'Suastet. when you briskly gesture forward that's an upwards angle, it's the affirmative-- it can mean okay, right, let's go, understood, I'm ready, or I see your point/what you're saying, depending on context. loosely waving it downward is the positive gesture, mostly used for greetings or goodbyes, but also used to gesture approval or positivity. twirling the hands downwards in an arc is the negative or dismissal, it can signal that you are not interested in something, that you do not approve of something, or to express a lack of pity or care. However, when done briskly, it can signal the opposite of the affirmative: "Come again? I didn't get that.", "Could you repeat that?", "I don't understand.". pointing your fingers forward like a dagger indicates that something caught your interest, whether it's a new idea in the conversation, something particular you want to bring up, or you just want to bring attention to yourself. Facial expression plays a key role in communication, as well. frowning, opening your eyes, raising your chin and raising your eyebrows all work to signal questions, while lowering your eyebrows, closing your eyes, lowering your head, and smiling all work to signal answers. there are a lot of nuances based on how you mix and match facial expressions, for example, raising your eyebrows while closing your eyes could signal an incredulous attitude, while lowering your eyebrows and frowning could signal that you understand what you were told, but you are upset. on the left end of the image there are three examples of people using sign language-- a night-tender sending a warm greeting to pedestrians traveling in the night, a pastor raising his hand to the sky and his hand cupping his heart, preparing to recite a pious poem. A citizen struggling to explain a terrible event. fië il'bes, "It is truth.", in different dialects of finger spelling sign language. finger spelling involves two hands, one hand signs the consonant, the other hand signs the vowel. normally, mora are spoken consonant-vowel, but pairs which reverse the order like "il" I have to perform a particular gesture with their hands to indicate the swapped position. in the southern dialect, there's a lot more movement in the hands, hands cross over each other, twist and turn, it's a very expressive language. the Northeast dialect is more reserved, except in cases when signing a syllable without a vowel or consonant, at which point the null character is represented by a flick of the fingers, as if throwing water off your hands. the Northwest dialect is more relaxed, hands tend to bend downward loosely. a unique feature of the Northwest dialect is that when signing a null character, the null points down, while the existing character points up.
