A second knit snowflake in white in progress. Just picked up the sts for the front from the hold yarn. Both surfaces are the same then stuffed. Going much faster this time 😊 Looking crisp in white.

my first and it’s a bit wonky. Relearned Judy’s Magic CO for 156 sts in round on magic loop. Oof. Practiced around 800 til smooth motion but they want to not catch, slip off when adjust for full tips - counts wrong, twist. Last time it was around 10 for toe up sock. Dt in alt

After much headache my knit Dragon Scale blanket is done today! Off pins. Tails sewn. I need to give it a misting to re-round some scales. I blocked too hard, a lot got pointier than I like. I finished 1 quadrant in lower right, am too tired to do the others.

This is 1024 sts cast on in the round for my lg dragon blanket. I got 3 hanks (630 yards) in and found a twist! 😱💀Scary af!!The smaller red with 928 CO came out fine.
I named my Rav project The Knit is Long/Dark and Full of Terrors. 😜🧶
10 cakes of yarn in colors from black to gray to pale purple gray ringed by 1024 stitches cast on in tje round on a long circular needle. Here there are 9 rounds worked The previous dragon scales blanket hand knitting project now 3 hanks in… when I spread it out and noticed the twist. 😱 💀Twist not shown, I hide my knit in shame. The smaller orange through red sample approximately halfway in shown flat on the carpet with a kitty helper. No twists in this one so I got over-confident The orange through red sample finished shown on a large gray chaise.

Two trials for dimensional slipped stitch stripes textures in hand knitting 🧶 see alt for more.
Close up on an angle, of texture in a hand knit slipped stitch swatch as useful item (small cowl) experiment . The main color is a light worsted in pale pink, which forms a puffy almost hex shape grid that mimics a separate layer over sunken lozenge shapes of 3layers of 2 row stockinette striping in the same pink plus a multi color chunky. The contrast color variegated chunky is significantly heavier than the main color pale pink yarn, this helps push the striped lozenge shapes to the back Showing full view of previously described item. Here lying flat against a mid range pink mauve background. Close up on angle of - Another experiment same basis as the previous cowl but here just a swatch. This is a pale blue and purple sport weight main color over black chunky. This trial has 4 stripes in the sunken areas, giving a more hex shape than lozenges of previous. Also tweaked the separation stitches to have more rows ribbing, giving better ‘puff’ look Same 4 stripe swatch as previously described but here shown flat aligned straight on a beige carpet

A fun textured knit worked in the round with worsted weight yarn. Offset tiled triangles of k and p ridges, with stockinette triangles edge by 2 stitch cables that can be done w/o cable needles. Lovely simple texture that has a different effect viewed from different angles

The texture is, to me reminiscent of pineapples - a tiled geometric placement of triangles of ridge knit and purl with triangles of stockinette that have flared (spiky [pineapple leaf-ish) edges arcing into the ridge lines. The pattern is Pineapple Ring by Lavish Craft https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pineapple-ring-3 The yarn is Malabrigo Rios in Peachy the same hand knitting from previous image - at the opposing angle. the light is now accentuating the triangular ridges the same hand knitting from previous image - with the grain vertical. catching the light to highlight the spiky tips on the stockinette triangles

The penguin is quilted and ready to protest! It’s a bit crooked, but I have had vertigo off and on all week, so I’m okay with crooked.

So Audiology broke my CROS hearing aids yesterday. 🤬
Last week my head MRI was tumor free 🥳
but my sinus CT results mean nasal passage surgery, turbinate reduction, septoplasty, and bone spurs ground down in June.🤬
I still need “revision” on the 4 level cervical fusion I’ve put off for 2 years
