I just found out states like Utah apparently and more are adding my nonprofit The Thurman Perry Foundation to registries of resources for mothers in light of Trump’s bill. We’re getting 10-20 emails a day in the last week from women needing help.

not saying anything groundbreaking here, but I really think "politics as a form of content to be served up and consumed like all other forms of content" has been an enormous, underrated disaster in terms of giving folks the illusion of being informed while essentially being gamed like a drug addict

The Syfy Channel is, perhaps, the greatest squandered opportunity in basic cable history. Once upon a time, they actually gave you science fiction: Battlestar Galactica, The Expanse, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Alphas. If you stayed up past midnight, you might catch the four-hour cut of Lynch's Dune.
