At some point will obscure music from the 60s/70s/80s only exist on individual people's machines as MP3s / digital files? If the history of music is not preserved, master archives will all eventually fail. The only way to preserve the history is to keep copying them in digital form.

Imagine if we had a government where the elected officials actually *represented* the people and their concerns like they were supposed to! (this has always been an issue, but is just extremely heightened right now IMO)

Imagine if we had a government where the elected officials actually *represented* the people and their concerns like they were supposed to! (this has always been an issue, but is just extremely heightened right now IMO)

I'm pretty sure Dark Matter doesn't exist. If the universe is a simulation and the visual universe was designed first (thinking like a programmer), you might be tempted to "fix" the mistake you made by bending your own rules of physics so you don't have to change your original design.

If you were CEO and hired a senior strategic advisor who went on television and made a Nazi salute for all to see, it's very clear what you would do. Misunderstanding or not, that advisor is fired on the spot that same day, no questions asked. This should be no different.

It's funny. Twitter implodes and self-destructs, causes mass exodus. And we get two decent platforms as a result in Threads and Bluesky. Three really, Mastodon as well. I suspect Tweetle dee will merge his platform with Dweeble dum at some point to finalize their very own dee-dum bubble.

@philipmichaels.bsky.social thanks for the iPhone Mail article. I had in fact discovered how to switch back the UI, but the icons threw me off and I didn't think I could get it back. Going into settings to remove "Show Contact Photos" is what *really* puts the Mail app back the way it belongs IMO :)
