I actually finished this volume the day after I posted the blog post about volume 6 because it's all getting TOO GOOD! I wanted to make sure I had enough time to watch and write simultaneously though, so where did I leave off...? kanao's backstory OH YES! It shows in the middle of the last anime episode I was watching (episode 25) why Kanao is the way she is.
