Spring is my weakest season. How about you?
Every year I feel so behind and apart from everyone who has a kick-start for his/her life event starting from new fiscal year (in Japan). Does anyone relate to this feeling?

Today I lost an NIH grant training clinicians to do research about intimate partner violence with perinatal women.

More women are murdered in the perinatal period than die of obstetric complications.

I didn't just lose a grant. We lost an entire cohort of people building careers to prevent that.

“Never show your negative emotions and opinions” during discussion is considered as being well-behaved and decent manner in Japan, especially during a decision-making important meeting. So people like me is considered as “typhoon”. Sometimes I feel at a loss and regret deeply about my misbehavior.

It’s said that being moderate in eating, like 80% of full stomach, will keep you healthy, but I have been trying eating 60% of full stomach, and I have realized we don’t have to eat that much.

And I also learned from my business trip to Melbourne that people basically do hate any changes, even slightest ones.
I do think it’s nonsense because every thing changes. My thoughts and body yesterday is different from who I am today.

I learned from a recent business trip to Melbourne that the practice is everywhere in the world, that male professors who works at so called influential universities publish their own non-scientific based views in their books and disseminate them, and people blindly believe them. orz.

I’m wondering why in Japan participants start talking after the meeting ends, which ‘big cheeses’ leading.
If you don’t say anything during the meeting, which means you agree the contents.
I won’t avoid asking questions and telling my opinions, so I become a nonconformist in my workplace.

Since November I lost five kilograms by dieting -calculating calories-and doing light exercises. My goal is losing four more kilograms by the end of April, and becoming the weight at the time of my twenties.
