I can't help to think of the young lives that will be lost because of this hateful legislation & the further harm that occur in the 2SLGBTQIA community. The use of the notwithstanding clause is just egregious & unnecessary.

This Alberta government has more blood on their already bloodstained hands.

I’d like to express my condolences to the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations who lost the remarkable elder, Elmer George, this week.

He was an elder of both Nations and the last native, fluent speaker of Lkwungen. An immense loss for the community.

Rest in peace.

Pushing for a cease fire so you can look good in a genocide you specifically enabled, at the same time as you’re assaulting your own democracy & waging war on your own cities, is never going to get you a prize for peace. If there’s a prize for hypocrisy and narcissism though, you’ve got a real shot.

It didn’t happen fast but I see this as a sign that the church is moving away from patriarchy and back to servant leadership. Bless Bishop Sarah for her courage and grace.
