Great news that the Senate has passed the bill forcing the DOJ to release its Epstein file. Now Bondi must comply. But our work cannot stop there. We need to force the Treasury to release the Epstein bank records too. I have a bill to make that happen. FOLLOW THE MONEY.

I'm not trying to be mean, but racists who believe Trump betrayed them by being a child molester are not going to embrace the Democratic Party without forcing that party to embrace racism. And the people gained would in no way make up for those lost.

Peaceful protestor arrested at Broadview ICE by cook county sheriffs for holding an ICE OUT sign on a corner cops decided was not in the designated protest zone. Aka some bullshit.

The Department of Homeland Security did not reply immediately to a request for comment, but on Friday a post on the department’s X feed seemed to mock the protest participants, saying, “Womp womp, cry all you want. These criminal illegal aliens aren’t getting released,” the post read. The post called the demonstrators “violent rioters” and “imbecilic morons” who need to “get a job.” Asked about the DHS statement, Woolf said he and other protesters were “demanding constitutional and due process rights” for detainees, adding, “I believe that justice will come in this life or the next.” “I know which side I choose. I choose the gospel,” he added. “This is our job,” said the Rev. Kristina Sinks, a United Methodist pastor who helped organize a worship service, in reply to the DHS post. Sinks also rejected the suggestion that demonstrators were violent. She later explained via text message that she believes it is the job of clergy to “advocate for the oppressed, the vulnerable, and those dehumanized by any forces of evil and oppression.” Sinks added: “Why does DHS feel threatened by clergy praying? What are they hiding?”

“The Senate’s bill is a bad deal for the American people,” said Thompson. “This bill fails to prevent Americans’ health care premiums from skyrocketing and it fails to reverse the President and Congressional Republicans’ devastating cuts to Medicaid. It also kicks the can down the road for our farmers, failing to deliver a Farm Bill 2.0 that serves our ag community’s needs. We cannot afford a divided and weak opposition party when an authoritarian is invading our cities, terrorizing our communities, and corruptly self-enriching at the expense of the rest of us. We want to celebrate a Democratic Party that fights back. But after this latest surrender, the next step is primaries and new leadership. We get the party we demand, and we intend to demand one that fights.
