HAWK signals are infamously confusing. Unfortunately we have one in Waltham at Mass Central Rail Trail x-ing @ Lyman Street. Some drivers stop during flashing yellow to let pedestrians/ bicyclists cross, then when it turns solid red, drivers run through it because they don't see anyone waiting
