whenever i walk across the playground, i think about how lucky i am that i don't need to worry about washing white phosphorus off of kids' skin. every time i teach in my classroom, i realise how privileged i am to not need to worry about matching an arm in one corner to a torso in the other.

as more and more hospitals and healthcare staff are intentionally targeted in attacks, it is vital to ensure access to life saving resources is not eliminated, which is why the work of MAP in Palestine and Lebanon is so important.

a personal favourite charity of mine is the PCRF. the work they've done to rehabilitate child amputees who have been evacuated is truly inspirational. their email updates shine a light on the the deep resilience and strength of the palestinian youth.
