Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

The US Senate is a worthless institution that has, with a few very brief exceptions, been a reactionary force in the US for all its history, holding back progress, holding back the will of the voters, upholding a grossly oligarchic, patriarchal, racist hierarchy. Flush it down the toilet.

Candidates who ran on anti-trans messaging in 2025 lost badly.

On political messaging and strategy, the logical conclusion is that the driving factors of Trump’s 2024 win were Trump-specific, not an anti-trans ad.

Polls show “live and let live” is much more popular. It’s an elite fixation.
the harris campaign said the “they/them” ad didn’t sway the election.

one of the trump campaign’s top strategists this week said trans rights isn’t in the top five issues for swing voters.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

“Dems moved too far left” is more pundit-consultant industrial complex than empirically-supported analysis. It lives in euphemism and vibes.

It wrongly assumes abandoning core values will yield a net increase in votes.

And to the extent it’s really political strategy, it’s fighting the last war.
