I’m finally able to articulate why I love teaching BA students so much: in that liminal university space they are both (not “neither”) children AND adults, and hold all of the best qualities of each in varying measure as they progress. They are a true joy.

Managed to get an upgrade to 1st class on GWR (thx @seatfrog.bsky.social!) and MY WORD it’s like a British Richard Yates novel in this carriage. The drama!! The sidelong glances!! The multiple bottles of wine!! Oh, and free snacks.
Worth every pence.
