@benjaminliar.bsky.social my partner started this audiobook while staying with his grandma in ICU, then shared it with me. We Checked bookstores for months and couldn’t find it, but we finally did! The Failures is a masterpiece, and I don’t say that lightly, I’m not *that* nice. Y’all, Read this!

Sunshine on a gray monday!
Yup. Absolutely agree. One on my favourite books from last year. @benjaminliar.bsky.social
Just finished this one and holy cow 😱 loved every second of it. Has multiple POVs, a new type of magic I don’t think I’ve seen yet, and overall blast to read. @benjaminliar.bsky.social I need book 2 yesterday!

Help this man achieve his devilish dreams
THE REDEMPTION OF MORGAN BRIGHT is at 602 reviews on Goodreads and I'm so so grateful for everyone who helped get it there. But it also means I'm only 64 reviews away from the number of the beast. If you can find it in your heart to help me (and Lucifer!) drop us a review!

Rest In Peace, Jules Feiffer. Died just shy of his 96th birthday, but he was still as vital as ever, plugging away on his next book. The way 2025's been going, I'm not surprised we lost our greatest living cartoonist less than a month into it.

Any awards conversation that doesn't include #strangedarling is suspect at worst and ignorant at best. My boy @kylegallner.bsky.social was at his career best and Willa Fitgerald is a FORCE. Ahem.

I have a crazy idea.
What if, instead of gleefully and ghoulishly trying to use AI to rob human beings of their essential and innate creativity, ushering in a spiritual hellscape and widespread desert of the soul...
They use it to make video game enemies that don't suck ass?

Like children, I'm not supposed to play favorites with reviews. But this one has HAIKUS, and wins all the prizes.

Stuck on a writing project? Here's what I always ask myself in that situation: Emily, have you considered that you might not be very good and should abandon writing altogether and move to the woods and make candles or possibly become a nun or something?
