Mam's accidental #birdwatching & #Hedgewatch today was when she went to post a letter & was tempted to walk down the hill to wander between North Shields & Tynemouth along the mouth of the Tyne. The cormorants were proving there are fish to be had! #UKBirding #birds #birdphotography 🦉

We're hoping the fireworks are over now as we want to go to bed. I've spent the evening on the stairs hiding from all the bangs while Mam has been playing music as she doesn't like them either. #goodnight friends, sleep well!

Flying start to the week at RSPB Saltholme with ducks galore, geese, flocks of gold & greenfinches & tits, a heron, moorhens & coots, swans, lapwings, greenshanks & redshanks & a first for me up here a little egret and much more. Very happy #birdwatching on a cold grey day. #UKBirding #birds 🦉
