One of out #beagles, Harper, is preparing to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Two of his siblings seem to understand something isn't right, and have been attentive but gentle.

Just gave someone a complement, and they responded with "I'd like to think this is sarcasm..." so going back to never complementing ever again because my unreasonable paranoia that it's going to upset them has been legitimized.

We knew a chunk of this tree would fall eventually... And if it had to fall and crush a large portion of my garden, at least it did so at the end of the season. #gardening

This is becoming so common that someone's going to have to come up with new word to refer specifically to the practice of telling a Jewish person that they are antisemitic if they don't agree to hate another group of semetic people.
Worth noting, as is now fairly common, that the professor who is a target of claims that his pro-Palestine politics are antisemitic is once again Jewish.
Cornell is cancelling a distinguished professor's classes on Gaza and suspending him because of the complaints of a student who previously served in Israel's military surveillance agency and was literally recording the comments of other students in class and deliberately derailing discussion.

Just made pasta sauce from scratch, using all ingredients from my garden, completely unsupervised. I don't know that I've ever done any cooking beyond boiling pasta. Someone call the Vatican, because I'm pretty sure this is legit miracle.

Isn't holding a vigil for someone who thought being gay was wrong at Gay Church dishonoring their memory/wishes? I'm just saying, if people were to have a vigil for me at a football stadium or chewing gum manufacturing plant, I'd haunt them with a vengeance. Jus' sayin'

Judging by the shamefully opportunistic & politicizing rhetoric of some rightwingers on Twitter, & their cynical use of Charlie Kirk’s horrific murder for political point scoring, it’s almost as if Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman wasn’t murdered by a Trump-voting MAGA maniac just 12 weeks ago.

Twenty states have comprehensive data privacy laws, and a few states and localities have biometric privacy laws too. But for wearable users elsewhere, their data privacy environment “is not super regulated,” EFF’s @thorinklosowski.com told @Prospect.org. prospect.org/health/2025...

If any church that believes this comes to you asking for funds for their mission trip to "save souls and bring them to Christ," you know it's a scam. This ilk has driven more people from Christianity than anything could. They just want you to fund their vacation/Instagram exploitation porn.
Is gutless equivocation killing journalism and abetting fascism? The answer might surprise you.

So, it's officially happened at least TWICE that I've randomly, out of nowhere, had the song "No One Mourns the Wicked" from Wicked stuck in my head, only to look at the news and go "oh...huh..." jus' sayin'

Will be hard to explain in the future that the US government went antivax, causing a lot of avoidable suffering and death, not in response to any negative incident with vaccines, but to the biggest, fastest, most successful, most impressive vaccine rollout in history.

The CEO of a a multi-trillion dollar company went to the White House, openly handed the US president a gift made of gold, and his company got a special exemption to tariffs the president has illegally imposed.
Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.
