If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.

Not to be forgotten, as the President now attempts to take over the Library of Congress:

He did something similar in February when he fired the Archivist of the US.

It's now three months later and counting, and he apparently has notified Congress of his reasons for doing so, as required by law. 🗃️
It has not been the norm for incoming presidents to fire the Archivist of the United States.

The president has the power of removal, but is required to notify Congress of his reasons, as @historians.org pointed out last week.

That notification does not appear to have yet taken place. 🗃️

A true scandal. One of the biggest free speech violations of our lifetimes and yet the people who screamed about free speech on campus for the past decade were either responsible for the violation (Trump, GOP) or ran cover for it and enabled it (Bari Weiss, Fox, etc).

“This was a purposeful decision by ICE to make me, Mahmoud, and our son suffer,” Dr. Abdalla said. “My son and I should not be navigating his first days on earth without Mahmoud."

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.
