When I was younger and began to try out makeup for the first time, I used to paint stars on my skin instead of doing the ordinary things.

I’ll quote my dad:

“If you use makeup because you feel ugly without it, you’re misusing it. But if you’re using makeup to express yourself, then you go girl!” 💕

In Swedish schools we have a gender equality policy. During music history our teacher was required to mention at least one woman for every era. He mentioned Hildegard but speculated more about her interest in psychedelic mushrooms instead of mentioning the fact that she wrote the world's first opera

I need to confess,

Sometimes I work professionally for no pay and even spend my own money in order to deliver something good that might attract other customers that hopefully will pay the bill.

That just never happens,

so can someone please explain to me how to deny unpaid commissions? 🙃

This is what happens when you compose a medley for a Childrens Music Band 🤣

Three years ago Rollin’ Phones visited my university for a workshop with us composition students. This is a excerpt from my piece “Klacken i backen” and they performed it a prima vista!

This piece also included step dance instructions, but they simply said that their stepping career was over 😂

Instead of wearing band T-shirt like pop musicians do. I made myself a Galina Ustvolskaya Blouse a few years ago. Maybe this is how classical composers should design their merch 🤔

The print was designed in Adobe illustrator, Printed through @spoonflower-social.bsky.social and sewn by my self!

My greatest achievement last year was to compose my first piece for orchestra! This is my piece Bohccuid Mársa (March of the reindeer) performed by the Norrlandsopera Symphony Orchestra. Its also the world’s first score using Sami rehearsal letters!

This is perhaps the worlds first composition in the shape of a slide puzzle! And yes, I made everything myself from composing the music to modelling the 3D print of the puzzle board! The piece will be performed by the pianist Anders Englund.
