Thanking followers each day as a show of appreciation. I have to say a huge thank you to @barryryerson.bsky.social for introducing Tagonist Knights Publishing to Bluesky before the massive departure from Twitter a year ago. I am not sure if I would have known about Bluesky without him, so thank you!

Just binge-watched Néro: The Assassin on Netflix, and damn it's good.
Highly recommend it.
Great characters, betrayals, excellent fight choreo, and some dark humour.

Stumbled across Néro: The Assassin on Netflix, and so far, it's really very good. Dark, funny, great characters, and so far, there's only 1 person in it (a side character) who could be considered a hero. Maybe 2 at a push.
The rest (and there's a few) are all shades of dirty.

When a hacker uses an illegal AI construct for revenge, just how far will he go?

We had this photo of a well-known actor randomly in our Italian hotel.
My wife just now said: "It's that actor - Alpacca Cino!"

Have you started my *completed* trilogy yet?
A character focused plot, and a queer normative world but this trilogy (and bonus novella) isn't for the faint of heart!
Read it in KU or add the gorgeous paperbacks to your shelf!

OK, I feel like I've got to talk about this.
Last day in Rome, and we'd booked a train back to the airport, as well as wheelchair assistance. For some reason, the airport shuttle train gives you a single ticket for your party (there were 4 of us).
We were told to meet at Sala Blu's office... 1/5

A bunch of writer friends are noting that they have not used LLMs to write. Me either, absolutely not. I feel like we need to stop asking kids what they want to BE when they grow up and start asking them what they want to DO. Because: I am not here to BE A WRITER, I am here to WRITE.

When Italian train entrances are several feet up, how do #wheelchair users get on and off?
With this totally inconspicuous device, and two members of staff fromSala Blu.
(Wasn't sure about posting this, as I look, well, ridiculous, but thought people might find it interesting.)

I might add more later, but having returned from Rome, I've realised that it's a city of contradictions.
Ancient architecture with GPS-tracking audio guide.
Citizens fuelled on either coffee and cigarettes or more carbs than a marathon-runner could eat.
"Rules of the road" being an oxymoron. 1/3

At the airport getting ready to come back home.
Had an intense but overall enjoyable trip to Rome.
Already feeling a flare up coming, so don't expect too much from me in the coming weeks.
But, it was worth it.

Just had my first taxi ride in Italy.
Didn't realise my grey hairs could get any greyer, but I guess losing 10 years of your life from a 15 minute journey will do that to you.

Went to see The Vatican today, and I'm conflicted.
On the one hand: what glorious art, architecture, and history.
On the other hand: for a religion based upon humility, poverty, and self-sacrifice, the sheer opulence of the place (not to mention tacky gift shops) is sickening.

I know reviews are for readers but Reborn in Ash got another 5 star rating with a lovely write up 😍
“A painfully sad and tragic story, of treachery and deceit, greed and connivings, where those in power only care for themselves and their wants. But it was a tale beautifully told nonetheless.”
