Josh Marshall is absolutely right about this as a matter of constitutional restoration BUT ALSO

You can't do ANY of the "kitchen table" agenda EITHER without abolishing the power of the six corrupt GOP justices. They'll kill any good Dem policy (eg student loan forgiveness) just to watch it die.

This is the thing that torments me. We’re going to have to scour our Shire to root out every MAGA-infected agent corrupting our system and sabotaging the proper functioning of government …
"What if Trumpism waned, MAGA cracked up, the public rediscovered its commitment to liberalism, and our institutions were already so corrupted that they were beyond repair?"

What If It’s Already Too Late?
Institutional rot or ideological infection—either way, a real “Deep State” is already taking shape.

Today was #WorldAIDSDay, despite the bigoted, anti-actual-health Trump administration’s cowardly, disgusting choice to ignore it.

I lost friends. I remember them.
For the first time in decades, the federal government refuses to acknowledge World AIDS Day. But we are prepared for this fight, and we won't let them harm our community. We have built systems of care, fought for our rights, and protected each other through every wave of hate. We are ready.

NEW: The Trump administration's lawlessness is front and center, on multiple fronts.

The response to the shooting of two National Guard troops, reporting on the boat-strike murders, and the continued contempt inquiry keep Trump's lawlessness in the news.

This is hilarious: either my #Fitbit is way off, or my system finds #apheresis very relaxing. No matter how exciting the video I choose to watch is (today was #Countdown; last month was #TheWitcher), my Fitbit freaks out that my heartbeat falls below 46 BPM during donation!

No one shld lose sight of the fact that the Guard was only in DC as part of an extended political messaging stunt. The shooter is guilty for the attacks/carnage. Donald Trump is responsible for them. This is the collateral damage of Trump abusing his powers as President.

BREAKING: The Trump administration says it will transfer many of the Department of Education’s programs to other agencies, effectively attempting to dismantle much of the department.

This is an attempt to get around the law, which states that only Congress can unilaterally eliminate the DOE.

The Founders were so concerned about bribery that the Constitution forbids it three separate times. Two emoluments clauses ban officials—unambiguously including the president—from accepting things of value, plus bribery is the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

Unprecedentedly corrupt.

This whole thread. Republicans in Congress are as corrupt as Trump. And the Dems who didn’t dig in their heels to block this are part of it. Talking about you, @kaine.senate.gov. You betrayed me with this.
They're running from it now. But the fact that Senate Republicans tried to give 10 of their colleagues at least $1 million each for nothing but a bogus press op captures the corruption of Trump II. In no other environment wld this even occur to the most corrupt politicians.
