I just got my hair cut by a woman who has us all beat. She owns the shop but she also works two hours a week bussing at a fancy hotel restaurant so she can get employee deals at fancy hotels.

And two days a week she slings bags for Delta so she can fly wherever she wants for free.

What a woman Martha is.

This episode of the pod will stick with me.

She fled to Wales from persecution and violence in Zimbabwe. Here she set up a charity which promotes sustainability, fair trade and women’s empowerment back home in Zimbabwe.

Terrorism seeks to divide - journalists shouldn’t do their job for them.

After an appalling Yom Kippur synagogue attack, @davidyelland.bsky.social warns the media’s chase for ever more ‘extreme’ opinions risks feeding that divide.

This must be a watershed moment. The government's continued use of X is no longer simply negligent. It is an act of conscious assistance to violent extremism.
The common sense meaning should make this Elon Musk's "rivers of blood" moment

Though I think he goes further than Enoch Powell in a couple of important ways
Elon Musk spoke by video to Tommy Robinson's anti-immigrant rally in the UK today.

"You're in a fundamental situation here where, whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you," said Musk. "You either fight back or you die."

Why didn't Keir Starmer fire Peter Mandelson yesterday?
A full day after it was obvious to most that the US ambassador's tenure was unsustainable, the PM stood by his man.
