He’s so full of it. The marble in the floor is not “statuary marble.” Does the David or the Pieta have veins of color running through it? And isn’t what he called “bookended” just lattice?
Trump: As a little boy I'd be sitting there playing with blocks, I guess. I build better than anybody else, nobody can build like me, you can ask Steve Witkoff. My dad would build a floor out of tile, they used to call it Linoleum at the time.

Other than the admissions price, this will be no Chautauqua.
No time to listen to this today, but I wonder if it mentions Devon Zuegel's very clear ties to the Network State. Anyone know?

"Esmeralda" is a tech plan to build a Network State thing in Sonoma County, California.

Until she takes direct action instead of passively waiting for Johnson’s invitation, it looks she will be another dem who doesn’t understand what it means to fight fascism. Eg. bring Epstein’s victims to the Speaker’s Office and stage a reading of Giuffre’s book. For starters.
It's been 32 days since Adelita Grijalva was elected by the people of Arizona's seventh congressional district to represent them in Congress.

Mike Johnson still refuses to swear her in.

NEW: Donald Trump has taken steps to dismantle our democracy at such a dizzying pace that it's easy to lose track of them. Over time, outrageous and dangerous actions are forgotten and normalized. So @citizensforethics.org is now keeping a timeline of many of the most significant of these steps.
How President Trump is dismantling our democracy, one piece at a time - CREW | Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington
CREW is tracking anti-democratic ethics, transparency and accountability actions that Trump has taken in his second term.

Your tax dollars should be used to run a government that improves your life. Instead, Trump is using them to build the Epstein Ballroom.

What should the next President do with the ridiculous Ballroom abomination?
1. Tear it down.
2. Museum of democracy.
3. Venue for the Truth and Reconciliation.
4. Cannabis grow house.
5. Other.

“We found over 35 cases in which the judges have specifically said what the government is providing…false information. It might be intentionally false information, including false sworn declarations time and again," says Ryan Goodman, law professor at New York University.

The U.S. military has carried out a steady and significant buildup of forces in the Caribbean, as the Trump administration increases pressure on Venezuela. It is the largest deployment of U.S. forces in the region in decades. nyti.ms/4nuPMpj

@governor.ca.gov this approach is too weak and subordinates CA to TX’s lead. End CA gerrymander only when Congress passes a national gerrymander ban. Call or go all in for democracy?

@dorismatsui.bsky.social. Please explain to your Sacramento constituents your Yea vote on the Genius Act. Senator Murphy says it exempts Trump from restrictions on public officials investing in crypto, allowing him to continue his reign of outrageous corruption.

The 1st punch: Depraved state-sponsored abuses. 😳

The 2nd punch: Gleeful cheers from citizens who are utterly void of compassion. 😭

It’s time.
If blue states kept their money, they would be fine or even better off. Red states would be in deep financial trouble.

Example: California is the fourth largest economy on Earth. It grows over one third of America’s vegetables and two thirds of its fruits and nuts.

People living under fascism didn’t survive by giving up joy—they protected it.

They held onto the things fascism tried to erase: art, friendship, jokes, rituals, language, memory.

Not as escapism but as resistance. As proof they were still human.

Joy isn’t frivolous under fascism. It’s strategic.
