Not entirely sure what I'll use this for. Maybe books and stuff.

Age: late 20s
So glad for my alarm. Had the worst dream where I kept walking through the same building in circles.

I did not like Our Wives Under the Sea. I think the book could be good with a few more iterations, but that's not what we got.

My issues are that it's too repetitive and there's just no catharsis to the end of the story. (some spoilers) 1/ 📚💙🩸

Reading a book where it swaps perspective and time every 5 pages and it’s driving me insane. Thankfully I’m almost done. 📚💙

Just finished "Slade House." Started really, really strong, but unfortunately didn't finish as strongly. I feel like it got too explainy toward the end.

I'd recommend it as a good Halloween book even for non-horror readers, but it's probably too late for that.🩸📚💙

Finished "Tomorrow and Tomorrow" by Tom Sweterlitsch, a scifi thriller.

I liked it. My main criticism is that I think the front has too much focus on AR/VR descriptions, but that gets rectified in the latter half. I think I eve would have liked it more than The Gone World if not for that. 🪐📚💙

Wednesday's next album can't come soon enough. Love their music.

Just finished Books of Blood. I love Clive Barker.

Last volume wasn’t my favorite, but now I’ll add reading his books to my list. 🩸📚💙

Recently read "The Crypt of the Moon Spider" and it was really good! It's a lovecraftian novella. Good premise, good suspense, good like character introspection, good horror. Just really well done.

I can't wait to read the next two installments in the trilogy.🩸📚💙

I finished The Gone World and I really, really liked it. Might be my favorite scifi now. I like how it gave time for characters to breathe with relationships and also to deal with feelings of pain and loss. And I think I'm a sucker for this type of time travel... 1/🪐📚💙

The Gone World is cool so far (~20%). Weird detective time-travel scifi. 🪐📚💙

DNFed Grey Dog. I read ~25% and neither the horror nor the lesbian plot had started. Maybe it picks up after that, but I got a little too bored with it by then. I'm just not a huge fan of that type of setting without more going on.

Halfway through Eden by Lem. Really cool so far. 💙📚🪐

Reading more Clive Barker (Books of Blood vol. 4). He’s soooo good.

I started reading "Klara and the Sun." I don't think I like Ishiguro's scifi as much as his historical fiction.💙📚🪐

Finished the Haunting of Hill House. I really liked, but I guess that's not a surprise.

I maybe relate too much to Eleanor. The characterization is really good. She and Theodora feel way too real. "Do you always go where you're not wanted." Ugh. Maybe I need to find my Hill House. 💙📚🩸

Finished Annihilation. Wasn't at all what I expected. Kinda SCP and creepypasta-like. I liked it although I kind of feel like it had too many mysteries without anything solid to hold on to, although maybe the sequels start answering some of it. 💙📚🪐

Finished Wizard of Earthsea! It's been a long while since I've read any fantasy and it's nice to return. 1/2

For the sequels, can I just read them by themselves or is there one big story separated by multiple books? 📚🪐💙📚👀

Just got to The Grand Inquisitor in The Brothers Karamazov. 💙📚👀

A quarter through the Brothers Karamazov. ideologies. 💙📚👀

While I understand why people may be turned off by Dostoyevsky, I love how wacko all his characters are. It’s like they all have personality disorders. And then there are always the few with nonsense

Finished Prophet Song (spoilers):

About halfway into Prophet Song and I can't believe how unrealistic it is. Where is the pedophile running the justice system? Where is the antivaxxer who doesn't believe in HIV running health services? Where is the TV host running the military?

More seriously, I do think this portrays...

Started White Noise by DeLillo. Thought it would be different enough to take my mind away from things, but now I'm reading about Hitler and how everything is meaningless. I'm apparently really bad at picking books lol.
