An older woman told me today that she hasn't trusted the AI push since it started and commended me for telling the entire board if they use gen AI now that they've hired me, I will quit. She's the first person 50-70yo who hasn't tried to argue with me about it. I feel just a little healed 😭

Small town folks really do not seem to understand that I am not going to magically know who someone is, how to approach them, or the nuances of what happened in their relationship just by hearing their name and giving a vague reference of how long someone's been alive/active.

This morning we had to have a conversation about getting the paperwork done on Monday because the supreme court is deciding if its going to reexamine gay marriage in a couple of weeks.

I made social media accounts to see art and make friends and shitpost, and that's actually been super successful for me. I did not make social media accounts to analyze politics, explain the political establishment's rhetorical strategies, or explain fascism but I feel obligated to.
