Most Americans approve of Donald Trump’s first weeks as President, which is both shocking and appalling.

Whatever happens from here on out, I guess we can’t say we didn’t deserve it.

It's hilarious that Trump is making an anti-anti-Christian task force when USAID is arguably the most Christian part of America, and he's shutting it down.

Hilarious. 🙃

The conservative silence about election security in the wake of Trump's victory is *deafening* in the same way that the liberal silence about covid in the wake of Biden's victory wasn't. 🙃

Something something both parties something something. 😢

I just overheard someone telling their friend that the previous song had not in fact been written by Beethoven because “Beethoven doesn’t sing.”

#technicallytrue

In addition to quicksand, something else that I thought would be a bigger part of my life is swinging on ropes and vines.

It’s not that the world is lacking in either ropes or vines, so the problem must lie with me 🤣

Imagine if Biden pre-emptively pardoned Luigi before leaving office. People would lose their minds, lmao

Well sure, Cassandra’s always right so far, but THIS time it will be different! 🤡

You ever think that the whole "tradwife" thing is really just a rejection of our modern economic reality as women romanticize escaping the daily grind because it's slowly killing all of us on the inside while not paying us enough to make it worth the time and energy?

No? Maybe it's just me.

You know, instead of thoughts and prayers, we could just work to ensure that no children at school feel so hopeless and alone that they think they have no other option than violence.

We should put psychologists and social workers in schools, not cops.

I love when I burp and suddenly find my mouth full of stomach acid. Thanks, GERD, you're awesome. 😢

Everyone complains about screaming into the void but we all listen intently when the void screams back.

Nightbitch wasn’t what I expected, but it was still riveting. It may be a divisive film, but surely everyone can agree that Amy Adams chewed that movie UP lol

Y2K was the best nostalgia-laden camp horror comedy film that I didn’t know I needed in my life.

Sometimes I think about how fragile our entire civilization is, and how few things need to grow wrong at the same time to make it all fall apart.

Everything eventually ends, but if we're lucky there will be well-meaning people left afterward who can pick up the pieces and learn from our mistakes.

I get it, Joe. I do. But I'm still judging you right now.

The world may be falling apart, but at least I got some good Black Friday deals on audio gear. 🙃

Am I the only one out there who low-key wants a smart toilet that can tell me how heavy my poops are?

Just me? 😅

I just placed my first order for nail polish in some fashionable masc styles. I've always liked painted nails on men, but never felt comfortable enough to wear them.

With the state that the country's in right now I feel like painting my nails is a small act of resistance, so I have to do it! 💅

I'm watching the new animated Watchmen adaptation and I just now, after 20 years of reading the comics, realized that Rorschach is a cryptid.

Tonight my smoke alarm told me that it was hungry. Chirp, it said, come and find me. I chased it around the house in this merry game of hide-and-seek. Chirp, it finally said, let’s eat.

I fed it and it returned to work once more, grimly silent at its task — until it would be time to feed again.

Oh cool, Russia used an ICBM today against Ukraine. If you don't know, Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles are typically used (in theory, as no one has ever done it in war) to deliver nuclear payloads.

Sending the clear message that it could have been nuclear, but wasn't. This time. nbd tho

I told myself that when I got older I’d be cool and stay on top of new trends, but I didn’t understand how fast time goes, and how frequently trends change.

I blink and suddenly kids are using an entirely different set of slang while they post on FaceTok or whatever the newest app is. It’s bonkers

So y'all know how cults send their followers out to proselytize specifically so that the people they encounter reject them, thus driving those followers back to the cult where they feel a sense of belonging and solidarity?

It occurs to me that this is literally the conservative playbook.
