I’ve grown so tired of the scenery chewing silliness of shows like Slow Horses and that Emma Thompson PI thing, I broke out my dvd box set of Edge of Darkness (BBC 1985) to watch instead. So slow, so heartfelt, so serious and melancholic but leavened by Joe Don Baker as CIA op Darius Jedburgh cont’d
