To follow that up, this whole game has been lovely. Lots of offensive variety, plus Bubic had a great start in his first return to the rotation since 2023! Still only the 7th inning but with the Royals sitting at 10-0, I am confident they should be okay to pull out this W.
That's the kind of first inning I like to see. Take advantage of the Brewers' PTSD following their opening series against the Yankees! #Royals

I'm currently reading a book called Spare Room* and I can't help but hear it in a British accent and stylized "Spare Oom."
This is a Chronicles of Narnia reference.
*The plot of this book is basically "throuple thriller" and it seems quite bonkers honestly. In a good way!

Update on this, friend 1 still dropped the ball but I've moved on. Friend 2 has started engaging my comments and adding her own comments in the discussion section of the buddy read on SG. She was late to the party (I've now finished the book), but still fun to talk about it as she reads!

I finished The Picture of Dorian Gray! It was a slow burn and I lost motivation near the end, but I made it!

Finished The Shining. What a ride. Really great horror story, vintage/classic King. Totally get now why he didn't like the movie. The movie is also an excellent horror story. They're just not the SAME story.

It's about this time of year that the hardship of the lack of baseball really starts to set in for me. A general malaise descends.

On Threads the culture was block early & often. I checked have something like 2500 profiles blocked over there. It wasn't just toxic, rude, harassing trolls, it was engagement baiters too. Hot takes got people blocked so fast.
I loved it.
That doesn't seem to be the vibe over here, though.

So 5 or 6 months ago, I bought automatic feeders for my cats because we've had them 10 years and they've always free fed, but one is able to free feed without consequences and one definitely isn't. The one that can is a Maine Coon mix who's not as big as we hoped. About 12 pounds. Meet Malachi.

Wondering if Bluesky is as rampant with the unsolicited advice as Threads is. I didn't have this problem in all the years I spent on Twitter, but Threads users were ALWAYS offering unsolicited (usually also irrelevant and unnecessary) advice instead of just... Talking? To people?
