There is no such thing as a “high functioning” autistic person, because any autistic who can “pass” is essentially walking over hot coals to perform for non-autistic standards, and those non-autistics usually won’t be around to witness the resulting emotional and physical wreckage.

They say I'm articulate. (I think about all the words that stay locked in my throat, and I give a small and terrified smile and look over their shoulder and into nothing at all.) I'm really quite luck...

Nope! I grew up in a warm country, where I had to tolerate 40+ degrees in summer. Then moved to The Netherlands. Anything over 25 degrees is too hot for now.

یه ویدیو مصاحبه خیابانی دیدم تو آمریکا میپرسید آخرین باری که آزار خیابانی دیدی کی بود. زنها همه ظرف یک هفته تا همون روز حداقل یه مثال داشتند، مردها میگفتند هرگز.
به این فکر کردم که آخرین بار کی بود؟ یادم نمیاد. آخرین بار وقتی بود که ایران بودم. سی و چند سالگی.
