As Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill moves to the Senate, we must make it clear: There is nothing “beautiful” about giving huge tax breaks to billionaires while cutting health care, nutrition and education for working families.

It is grossly immoral and, together, we must defeat it.

We can’t get into all the details just yet, things are still unfolding, but here’s what we can say: staff from Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) have been trying to assert more control inside federal agencies, especially within the Interior Department.

60% of American households can’t afford a minimal quality of life.

Meanwhile, the 19 richest households saw their wealth increase by $1 trillion in 2024 — the biggest one-year increase ever.

Our problem isn't a lack of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding inequality.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.

4) Repeat.

They're trying to get away with it again.

Too many of my white friends are still doing risk analysis, still weighing the costs of expressing their new revelations, still concerned about what they will lose by speaking out.

The reality is, the risks and consequences of silence are far greater.

Trump's team has launched an early and aggressive behind-the-scenes effort to maintain the GOP's tenuous grip on the House in 2026 — and avoid his third impeachment.

No, none of this is normal.
