...so yeah, why SR-'7'?
Glenn was in the capsule 'Friendship-7', named after the Mercury-7 astronauts and the capsule being the 7th made.
The SR-7 was released shortly afterwards, Minolta still riding the high of being on a Space Mission. They essentially took the number from Friendship 7!

Why are Minolta's Cameras named weirdly (i.e. 1,2,3,5,7?)

Think the flash is big enough?
Recent pull from the local camera shop, a Minolta 9000 with the CG100 grip and the 4000AF Flash unit.
Since I allready have a few Minolta AF lenses, and my 7000 body has a failing motor in it, I figured Id give it a try.
Allready love the manual lever advance 🤤

Sony bought out Minolta's SLR's for their digital cameras at one point.

I've been reproducing some old art designs for social media and noticed while I was searching for the right font... it's basically using the 'Wes Anderson Asteroid City' Font.
or rather, the original typeface that Asteroid city is derived from. Probably another Futura.
