I was late to read this, but it is such an important piece. Taking stock of ask that has been done, even when there is still much to do, can fuel forward momentum. Thank you @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social (& @strictscrutiny.bsky.social for mentioning it)

The EPA will approve two new pesticides containing “forever chemicals” and relax a reporting rule for companies who make products with forever chemicals.

The moves come after a $60 million lobbying blitz from the forever chemical industry.

Where is the MAHA outcry?

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein said Donald Trump knew about the girls that Epstein was accused of victimizing, according to emails released on Wednesday by Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
House Democrats release Epstein papers saying Trump ‘knew about the girls’
The Democrats cite exchanges with author Michael Wolff and Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite and Epstein’s former girlfriend who is serving a 20-year prison sentence.

It's time to force the caucuses hand. Every voter with a Dem US Senator must demand that they remove @schumer.senate.gov immediately.

If they don't, then we know where they REALLY stand on this trash deal.
Demand Democratic Senate Leadership Accountability: Remove Senator Chuck Schumer as Senate Minority Leader
This petition calls on sitting Democratic US Senators to remove Chuck Schumer from his role as Senate Minority Leader due to his failure to protect millions of Americans during the recent government s...

Here are the at least 6 House Democrats, 3 Democratic-aligned organizations, and 4 Democratic Senate candidates calling for Chuck Schumer to resign as leader:

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

Any vote that doesn't guarantee an extension to the ACA tax credits isn't a deal worth taking.

I will not only blame the Senate Democrats who are caving. I will blame them all. They needed to keep their ranks in order. If this happens, it's the most spineless political retreat imaginable and it will harm millions upon millions of Americans. Chickenshit, self-neutering nonsense. Cowards.

Senators: your votes, donations, and endorsements are conditional on your actions in office. Your (D) does not make you safe.

Caving to Trump with only "concepts of a plan" to vote on the ACA is UNACCEPTABLE.

Traitors deserve competitive primaries.

Chuck Schumer is about to lose his job (positive).
Primary Every Democrat
It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.

We’ve always said we got here because of Chuck Schumer. Each time we say it we are closer to our coffins. How many more times are we going to say it before we start protesting him to resign?
If Schumer votes AGAINST this but enough Ds vote FOR it that it passes, he needs to RESIGN immediately.

He will have shown himself to be absolutely ineffective as a minority leader. He has to go.

Literally resign tonight.

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.
