At the center is the majestic spiral galaxy Messier 81 (Bode’s Galaxy), glowing with a bright yellowish core and sharply defined, bluish spiral arms. The dust lanes are speckled with magenta regions (HA) indicating star formation. Longstone Lighthouse, located on the Farne Islands off the coast of Northumberland, England, stands tall with its striking red and white cylindrical tower. The attached red buildings contrast sharply against the rugged, rocky coastline. Jagged rocks, speckled with patches of green moss, extend into the foreground, leading toward the calm, dark waters below. A lone seagull soars in the sky to the right, adding a sense of movement to the scene. The soft, diffused light enhances the texture of the rocks and the lighthouse, giving the image a painterly, slightly ethereal quality.
