Only a month ago we were launching the Europa Clipper spacecraft! I can’t believe it’s already on its way and that some key instrument deployments have already been performed! I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this project, whether you are still at JPL or not. This is your success.
Solar conjunction for our Europa spacecraft is now over! While we did not uplink commands for about 10 days, we were getting some telemetry confirming yhr health of the vehicle. The team is now back in the driver seat! To check out the current location of Clipper:

Rest in Peace Jim Lovell. 😢
I remember an exciting talk he gave about his Apollo 13 experience at Georgia Tech, which was truly inspirational.

Very exciting to see Clipper’s radar instrument REASON perform well during the Mars flyby a few months ago! Imagine what we’ll learn about #Europa’s subsurface!

Le radar de #Clipper a bien fonctionné lors du survol de Mars il y a quelques mois, prometteur pour l’étude d’Europe!

The Presidents Budget Request for NASA is out. It’s a bloodbath

Canceled are DAVINCI, VERITAS, Juno, OSIRIS-APEX, US participation in ExoMars and EnVision…

Huge cut to R&A. No funding to begin development of the Uranus Orbiter.

If you’ve ever cared about NASA, time to contact congress.

You have three days, starting today, to leave a public comment with the FDA about, say, why COVID-19 boosters should remain available to everyone and also free. "Individual consumer" is the category you most likely want (unless you are one of the other categories; if so, choose that).

Today, it has been 6 months since Europa Clipper launched from Kennedy Space Center, shortly after hurricane Milton caused havoc in the region.
The spacecraft has been doing great ever since!

I didn’t have earthquake on my bingo card as flight director for Europa Clipper this morning! Glad the early warning notification worked and luckily the shaking on the 4th floor of our mission control was very limited.
