Hey guys, Psy here As you all know I am transmasc and have been on HRT for literal months. Up until recently my care has gone without a hitch. My T Gel was only $10 and I could afford it fairly easily. Well recently, my insurance company has started to draw back on supporting trans individuals. I can't get better insurance, as you all know I am disabled and can't work, so I have to rely on government provided health insurance for my care. This very much feels like the consequences of the government's transphobic rhetoric, limiting care for individual's like myself who literally require this medication to live. I would not be myself if not for this medication; nevermind the fact that it also helps with my Ehlers-Danlos symptoms, making my disabilities significantly easier to live with. As of right now, my Testosterone is $200, meanwhile my estradiol (a topical localized estrogen), which I am taking to ease up menopause symptoms is only $5, illustrating how my insurance doesn't view me to need this medication. I am fighting tooth and nail to get them to cover my Testosterone, but anyone who has fought with insurance knows it takes a while. I still need my HRT in the meantime, so any help would be appreciated. Even if it's just signal boosting. Thank you.
