Looking for another 25-35 responses from PCOS patients to give this student at least 50 to analyze in their honors research. We've had no luck with physician/provider responses, it may be too tough out there in 2025, but the patient responses are interesting. #MedSky
Help out an undergraduate student researcher with their survey project on patients' and providers' perspectives on treatments for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome). Further description and contact info in opening page at the survey URL or QR code. Thank you!

On #WorldAIDSDay, your voice is critical. Congress is considering unprecedented cuts of nearly $2 billion to HIV prevention, care and workforce programs.

Tell lawmakers to protect these vital services and support the Senate LHHS funding levels: https://idsociety.quorum.us/campaign/148562/
We cannot go back: Act now to save HIV funding
Urge your members of Congress to fully fund federal HIV programs as they negotiate final funding levels for the FY 2026 LHHS spending bill.

I became a physician after being inspired by the work of Jonas Salk.
I became an infectious diseases to honor the lives of people with and who died from HIV/AIDS.
I refuse to let this backwards US government hinder our resolve. Today is #WorldAIDSDay. Please find a way to commemorate it.

On #WorldAIDSDay Geoff Garnett explains success over past 30 years in danger of being reversed as disinvestment in HIV treatment & prevention will lead to more AIDS deaths & spread of HIV.

No one can take that away from us, nor the forty-plus years of organizing, demanding, and caring for each other when institutions would not.

No one can erase World AIDS Day or our collective efforts to end the epidemic

It’s how we fight stigma, and it's how we reach people with HIV testing, prevention, and treatment. Awareness has always been part of how we end this epidemic.

This is profoundly irresponsible by AGSulzberger’s NYT, @by-cjewett.bsky.social +eds.

The normalization, “view-from-nowhere”, “born-yesterday”, stenography, “both-sides”, irresponsible headline are disgraceful.
THE story is the CDC&FDA are being destroyed by antiscience & Americans will die.

This
I’m often annoyed by credulous press coverage of outrageous claims in astrophysics but the issue in public health is much more serious and much higher impact. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to work in the field and see these kinds of headlines all the time nowadays.
News media has to do better with headlines that present false and unverified public health claims.

January 2022 was the worst month of the pandemic for kids.

150-200 died and at the peak, just under 1,000 were hospitalized daily.

Surveying the suffering, Prasad concluded too few kids got sick.

American households are struggling as grocery costs remain high, up 37% since 2017, with a typical family of four now spending over $1,030/month. Food prices outpaced inflation and wage growth, pushing millions of Americans into food insecurity. This is a crisis we can’t ignore.
