"He told me at once what was ailing me;
He said I had been writing too much poetry,
And from writing poetry I would have to refrain,
Because I was suffering from inflammation on the brain."

As I scrolled through my feed, this caught my eye and I thought to myself (not having really registered the title) that only McGonagall can write with such an utter lack of comprehension of scansion.
"Then behind the corpse came the Prince of Wales in field marshal uniform,
Looking very pale, dejected, careworn, and forlorn;
Then followed great magnates, all dressed in uniform,
And last, but not least, the noble Marquis of Lorne."

600-year-old letter from a Welsh Prince described as the "most important" in Wales' history. Letter from Owain Glyndŵr to King Charles VI of France was a request for help in his rebellion against the King of England.

The Pennal Letter was on display at the French National Archive in Paris.

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

Interesting.
An angle not many are talking about: Venezuela is in deep debt to China. They don't have the cash to pay that debt, so they're paying their debt to China with oil. What happens when the US goes in and takes over? China wants their oil... that could start a much bigger war.
Rep. Salazar on Venezuela: "We're about to go in ... we need to go in ... Venezuela for the American oil companies will be a field day"

Breaking news: The Trump administration is drafting an executive order that would direct the Justice Department to sue states that pass laws regulating artificial intelligence, according to a copy reviewed by The Post.

A strong immigration system doesn't need to be a cruel one.

It shouldn't need saying - but refugees & asylum seekers are real people, fleeing war and persecution.

This daughter of an immigrant is proud of our British and Labour values of respect and not turning our backs on people in real need.
