did you know all creatures have different perceptual frame rates? elephants have less frames so things appear to move faster and they’re able to see things like plants move and subtle weather changes much more than us

Well. I know I just got back, but I might be ia for a while (not as long as lat time) my cat Nimbus died tonight. she was a snot filled old hag, ~18 and ill her whole life, but she had presence and fire. I hope she’s at peace now

reading this post baffles me because how can you love someone and when they don’t reciprocate get mad and don’t want to be friends anymore?? I imagine it might hurt or be embarrassing for a while, but that just seems very entitled. If you love someone you’d want to be w them no matter what, right?
tbh laughing at the idea that when I said "the incontestable horror of being fallen in love with" what I meant was a romcom storyline where somebody, inevitably, albeit perhaps reluctantly, falls in love. we need more genuinely aro stories dude

You can understand something whilst not excusing it. You are worse off when you forgive, excuse, and put up with what hurts you. Just because you can understand why something is, doesn’t mean it’s ok. Even if it isn’t “bad”objectively, not everything has to be for you, it’s ok

I know my limits, I know this brain, I know what I can work with, and I know what I have to work around. You don't have to make everything work, sometimes something just isn't for you. I really wish more people understood that.

I have shit to work on like everyone, but I don't let it affect how I treat myself or others, I've done so much to get to where I am, if someone can't see that, thinks I'm slacking, lazy, than even if they think they know me, they really really don't.

I love randomly complimenting people, especially when they are surprised about what I'm complimenting, and say it's something they were insecure about. I complimented this old lady's hair in the store and she said "REALLY???" all shocked and joyous and we had a short convo abt it
