Their influences at either end of pitch cannot be understated. Liverpool blew City away in the opening stages, but Salah's creativity was the difference. City enjoyed the lion's share of possession in the second half, but van Dijk swept up everything that came into the box. #LFC

Liverpool showcased their versatility today. First half, they steamrolled City with intense pressing and created numerous chances. Second half, they dug deep, defended their box brilliantly, and punished City on the counter. Another tactical masterclass from Arne Slot. #LFC

Surprised to see Varane on the bench, thought he’s been one of our better performers. Paal’s return is a big boost - brings much needed balance down the left. #QPR

Big blow for #LFC ahead of a hectic schedule (though the fixture difficulty eases a bit in upcoming games). Based on this season, I think Slot should - and likely will - go with Gomez over Quansah against City. More experienced and has a better temperament for these type of games.

A thrilling performance and a huge result for Liverpool - not just for their UCL aspirations or breaking their Madrid jinx, but also in continuing their remarkable momentum. #LFC
Far from vintage, with some worrying patterns still lingering. That said, the importance of the three points can’t be overstated. We need to build on this and put together a run to pull clear of danger. Delighted for Celar - some confident finishes from a man out of form🙌🏽 #QPR

Lloyd up top over Celar - he was lively off the bench on Saturday and always seems to generate a chance. Would have two natural full-backs to add balance. Not much else can be done given the current circumstances with the squad!🔵⚪️
