- good bc it’s a window desk, benefit for my plants
- bad bc it’s right outside boss’s office
- good bc i’m a little further from coworkers who annoy me

it’s so so cool to have insurance through your really stable employer until all of a sudden your physician and your dentist both call you up saying “yeah hi sorry but your insurance refused to pay us for the stuff they said they’d cover” and then you just have to pay for it yourself. so cool.

learning magic the gathering is maybe gonna be my all-consuming winter hobby. i caught myself making several searches today about spell triggers in my precon commander deck and it pointed me to like, three really cool new-to-me cards. it could get so bad so fast y’all, idk what to do about it yet 😅

ended my shitty day by spilling water everywhere while tending the plants, then snapping the healthiest, thickest stem off the best of my three potted Tradescantia pallida. meanwhile the rest of the stems on the same plant are losing leaves for seemingly no reason. great 🫠

hahahaha as if the normal work catch-up wasn’t enough i need to do my fucking open enrollment for health insurance before Thursday when i thought i had til next week hahahahahahaha fuck this fuck me
no coworkers, i do not feel refreshed nor am I ready to get back to it. i did not use my PTO for a traditional vacation and i’m not going to explain anything more than the possibility that i might be more tired and steeped in emotional turmoil than when i left last week. fuck.

figured i’d update: this is the newest leaf that was produced from the previous leaf’s damaged petiole!! i was honestly shocked it was able to grow at all, especially in the midst of my war on thrips. the leaf with the bent/broken petiole had to go though. overall, not the worst outcome!!

just saw the bright light social hour for the 3rd time this year, which i think is a record for us and for them. talked to Jackie extensively after their set about kglw among other things. i love this band so fucking much, pls catch them wherever they end up, they deserve crowds and everything else
