For my Pokemon-playing friends, if you could build a team of just your favorite Pokemon with no region or game limitations, what would that team look like?

This is what mine would look like:

* Galarian Rapidash
* Alolan Sandshrew
* Partner Eevee
* Tinkaton
* Emolga
* Primarina

So Dejah and I finished Evangelion 3.33.

I don't actually have a lot to say about it. It suffers from being a bridge movie. I liked that we got to see Kaworu and his relationship with Shinji more than in the series.

I didn't like that we hit the reset button on Rei's development.

Obviously this is the right decision, and good on the (conservative) Supreme Court for not letting partisan politics get in the way of this decision. But we all know that, so instead I'm going to talk about a thought that came up from it.

So, I'll be taking another trip this weekend, this time to New Jersey to visit JD and Vicky.

Between this, Louisiana, and my semi-frequent trips to New York, I've done more traveling in this last year than I have any other year in my life.

Hopefully next year will be just as eventful as this was.

Yesterday was Intersex Day of Solidarity. I'm late, but I'm gonna talk about it anyway because they deserve to be recognized.

The intersex community are an oft-forgotten part of the queer community, and are often lumped together with the trans community by those who don't understand the difference.

...Equifax has apparently also lost all of my credit history. Somehow I feel this is still related to Experian, but I can't confirm that. But holy shit is this demoralizing. I checked Transunion, and they still have my information at least.

So, another small health update. I got back from NY on October 13th, and that was the last time I drank coke.

The choice to cut it out of my diet was both to reduce calories and because of adverse effects the caffeine was having on me.
November 7, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Been awhile since I posted about health related stuff. I'll be talking about it more generally in a later post (maybe tomorrow), but I did want to brag a bit.

I walked over 8 miles today.

Can we talk about how Trump, who shut down the government because he directed Republicans not to negotiate with Democrats under any circumstances, endorsed Cuomo?

He is so scared of a socialist, he was willing to play ball with one of the most hated Democrats in the country. And he still lost.

So Zohran Mamdani won the NY mayoral election. He brings the kind of energy we need in politics now, and I hope he gets the support he needs to enact his policies.

This was a very positive, hopeful step in the right direction.

So, this March I'll be going to PAX East for the first time!

Between that and Dungeons & Geekdoms, I'm becoming a veritable social butterfly.

And that was the World Series. Dodgers win 5 to 4, in a damn good game.

Time to sleep.

Spending the evening watching game 7 of the World Series.

I was planning on watching game 7 of the World Series tonight, but apparently the only way I have to do so is to give FOX money, which I'm absolutely unwilling to do. Looks like I'll just watch clips tomorrow.

It’s taken me far too long to write about how amazing megagames are, but I hopefully captured what I could while not writing a whole novel.

If you are thinking about trying out a megagame this #PAXUnplugged, sign ups start today at noon, and I hope this article is useful!
Friendly reminder: today at noon, pre-registration is available for a bunch of #PAXUnplugged events!

We've written an article about our past experiences with Megagames, and we hope it helps you decide about signing up for one.

I've been remarkably sappy today. Dejah took the brunt of it, but I want to appreciate all the relationships I have. You folks bring such richness and joy into my life, and I'm forever appreciative to have you beside me.

I love you all.

I never thought I would be following the World Series

So I passed out from coughing again. At least I was sitting down this time. It's the most terrifying thing I've experienced, and afterwards I couldn't stop crying. Dejah was next to me this time and was able to help me through it.
October 29, 2025 at 6:14 PM
That was scary af

I coughed so hard and so long I couldn't breathe and passed out. That could have gone badly, I was standing up and bent over the sink at the time.

I don't know how long I was out, but I woke up moaning painfully and I was miraculously still standing.

Let's not do that again

So Dejah and I went to urgent care to be looked at. We both have COVID, Dejah likely has pneumonia, and I have an ear infection.

Fun.
October 28, 2025 at 6:33 PM
I'm not recovered yet, I'm still sick, but today is the first day in a week I am functional. Which means there is a lot of get done -_-

Don't worry, I am taking breaks and not pushing myself. But these clothes aren't gonna wash and fold themselves.

So, after blowing my nose once I apparently forced (likely infected) mucus into my middle ear, giving my mild tinnitus, an uncomfortable pressure in my ear, and dizzy spells. After googling it, this isn't that uncommon and should fix itself over time. I don't even feel safe to drive now.
