Yeah, I think a lot of people are setting themselves up for disappointment if they think Leo XIV is going to be "progressive" on LGBTQ+ issues, ordaining women, etc. But he's certainly a genuine liberal on the environment and immigration and an overt, explicit opponent of the Trump administration.
Look he's the Pope of the Roman Catholic church so he's not "woke" by how Bsky would define it, but given that most people use woke to be anything Trump & Co. don't like, he's a pretty woke Pope.
