Read in a recent paper that "Causal inference is a branch of statistics.." but as Pearl would provide the historical context for why it should actually be "Statistics is a branch of causal inference"..

What are the current trends in 2025 for observational data? Potential outcomes framework (Rubin, Angrist, Imbens)? Is the use of causal diagrams and SCM for observational data (most intuitive) still popular mechanism?

I had visited @bsky.app a year ago when I was moving away from the then Twitter (for known reasons back then). Threads was more active. Now that Meta has announced it will go down the X way, here I am..

I have found all (I think) the persons I used to follow at Twitter here. Quite nostalgic tbh.
