All this talk of #AI reminds me of all the talk a few years back about how web3 or the 'Metaverse' was going to be the next big thing. So much so that FB even changed its name to Meta. Years later, where is it? Hundreds of billions invested in the metaverse and for what? Consumer grade VR headsets?

Everyone in my age bracket did a big disservice to humanity dumping MySpace for FB. It was always inferior, but since it seemed exclusive because it use to be for college students only. What an unassuming Pandora's box that was.

I really hope there is a #Bluesky type alternative to #Instagram soon. So many #artists, me included, rely on it for outreach. Especially my gallery, and the other one I work with, use it for open calls and promote shows as it's the most direct way to reach artists because that's what we all use.

Playing #donkeykong Tropical Freeze on #switch for the first time. Brutally difficult and picky with precision. Died 30+ times on one level. Made me so frustrated I wanted to throw my switch across the room. Rage quit 10 times. So yeah, it's just like the old SNES DKC games. 10/10. Would recommend.

The worst part about using a short form text based app for the first time in 15 years is I'm stuck in the mindset from 15 years ago on how to use it. Best content I can muster is 'currently drinking coffee'. Riveting revelation, I'm sure.

Being #gay and running #art spaces in Texas is like living in extreme mode. Not just because of the homophobia (which lord do i got stories) but the general "fuck you we're taking your space and building luxury apartments" attitude. Fists out 24/7 kind of fight.
