Injections of Salk Vaccine are Given to 137 of 5,000 Between 6 and 9 Years
PITTSBURGH, Feb. 23 -- Dr. Jonas E. Salk and a team of nine assistants of the University of Pittsburgh began today the big polio vaccine test that eventually will cover 5,000 school children in this city.
Without prior notice they moved into the Arsenal elementary school in Lawrenceville and began inoculating children whose parents had consented to the test. Injections were given to 137 chidlren today.
Youngsters between the ages of 6 and 9 in eighteen other public schools will recieve before the middle of March their shots of the vaccine developed by Dr. Salk at the university.
Every child whose parents consented will get three injections in the next three months. The Salk vaccine, grown from non-neural tissue, contains the vius of three known types of polio.

When I heard Musk say this on Tuesday, my assumption was that it was a programming issue. Because I can code and have written to databases and because I am familiar with other examples of default values being misinterpreted.
