It’s also reminds me how much time I spent circa 2017-19 with male colleagues and friends over drinks asking me if their behavior in this or that circumstance was “okay,” and/or rehashing my own trauma to try to shock them into understanding. It was and is exhausting
This week is reminding me of how hard it was to sustain confidence in media during the period when the initial Me Too stories first came out, hearing jokes at work and from fellow journalists that cast unsubstantiated doubt on women. Dark days

What are the democrats doing. I’m flying to Australia tonight and had a sep connecting flight LA from SEA thus afternoon and I was stressed for like 3 nights it would be canceled. I’m in the LA international terminal and all has gone fine. Not saying flights aren’t being canceled etc but

One day after election day, Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes has fired Brian Maxey, SPD's COO, and chief counsel Becca Boatright. Per inside sources, Harrell told Barnes to wait until today. These are two very longtime civilian employees who've been shut out by Barnes, who brought in his own team.

King County elections confirmed to me that so far they’ve only counted ballots up to those submitted Monday or early on Election Day, and none from drop boxes. Wednesday reflects basically a wrap up of what they started counting Tuesday.
The general wisdom is that Wednesday is a continuation of election night and Thursday is when the lefty trend shows up. Nonetheless, this gives Harrell a bigger cushion heading into tomorrow and Friday.
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell gained another point on progressive challenger Katie Wilson in today's ballot drop, which added about ~21,000 ballots. She trails by 8 points.
Expected bigger counts tomorrow and Friday, which are typically more progressive-favoring. Comeback still possible.

Once I had an amazing therapist I was complaining about 3am anxieties and she was like “lay it on me. Confess the worst things you’ve ever done. Let’s drag them out.” And not only were so many of them dumb but daylight is such a powerful disinfectant
did you know you can just like, forgive yourself? all that shit you punish yourself over and over for, you don’t have to do that you can set it down and walk away and breathe deep for the first time in decades
